Looking forward to yuor replies! Miss Brownett Today we discussed the way that games represent our world, we discussed some of the analogies between real world conflict and the themes in Angry Birds. Some interesting interpretations coming out from the class today, it's good that we can now have discussions with some focus.
Just to finalise some of our thoughts from the lesson leave an answer to these two questions below. What view of the world does ANGRY BIRDS offer? Could you use this to explain why the game is so popular? Leave comments here before Wednesday's lesson. Three lessons into the computer games unit and again the class are working well, let's keep this going.
In class on Wednesday I asked you to keep a games diary, keep this diary going through to wednesday of this week. Make sure you take time to write it up before wednesday's lesson so it can be used in class and handed in. We have some analysis to tackle this week so come to class ready to learn. Maslow's Hirearchy of Needs isn't a simple theory, it's usually delivered to post 16 students, so you should all be proud of trying to tackle it this early in your study of Media. I just want to ensure that everyone is clear on the theory. Before our lesson on Monday 17th I would like you to identify two products and explain how you think they meet the needs as detailed in the diagram. Remember, not all products will meet every need in the pyramid, but ones that reach the top must cover all the lower stages also. Leave you comments here before Monday 17th of September. |
